Individual or small group training for operating the analyzers and sorters in the facility is provided upon request. Theoretical training on the principles of flow cytometry and consultations on specific assays are available for groups of at least five researchers. Contact the staff for scheduling information.
All instruments and the analysis workstation can be reserved online on a first-come, first-served basis. Cell sorting projects that require staff assistance should be scheduled at least one day in advance.
All files generated on cytometers are stored for at least 3 months on the computers connected to cytometers. All users should transfer and back up important data as soon as possible.
CHOP users are encouraged to take advantage of the ShareFile system for transfering data generated on cytometers. An IS request form has to submitted from a computer connected to the CHOP network to receive access. Researchers from Penn or other institutions may use other online storage options for transferring files.
Cell sorting services performed by staff includes temporary storage (6 months) and data transfer using the ShareFile system.
